Unless you’re a collector after a specific subspecies or trying to get your Tiny 10, you probably won’t book a plains game only hunt in Mozambique. They will probably be add-ons to a lion or cape buffalo hunt. That said, the Sofala province has great hunting for seven of the Tiny 10 species, exceptional free-range nyala, Roosevelt sable, Lichtenstein hartebeest, Livingstone eland, and Niassa wildebeest.
Hunt several of the small antelopes that make up the Africa Tiny Ten.
This hunt for suni and other small antelope in Mozambique will be primarily done on foot using the spot and stalk method. Once a trophy antelope is spotted, you will stalk to within shooting distance. An accurate shot is necessary as these antelope make rather small targets. Stalking a member of the tiny ten is a lot more challenging and exciting than many hunters realize. With an abundance of these small antelopes present, you should be able to put several of these diminutive antelopes in the salt!
