Hunting in Germany
Hunting in Germany is a significantly different experience compared to the tradition of individualistic hunting in the USA. In Germany, hunting is seen more as a community pursuit, and there are several bureaucratic hurdles to navigate before one can engage in hunting activities. Obtaining a hunting license, for example, requires undergoing mandated courses that span almost a year, followed by a comprehensive four-hour exam covering various topics such as forest ecology, plant recognition, carcass care, and firearms law.
Once you have acquired a hunting license, there is the additional challenge of obtaining a firearm for hunting purposes. A separate license is needed to possess any type of gun, and a valid reason must be provided for firearm possession. It's important to note that self-defense alone is not considered an acceptable justification for firearm ownership, unless you fall into a protected class such as celebrities or politicians.
After navigating the legal requirements, finding a suitable hunting location can prove to be a challenge. If you do not own a substantial piece of land, you will need to lease hunting rights for an extended period of nine years or establish connections with someone who does. Even if you own a small amount of land, you may not have ownership of the hunting rights, as they are often managed by local government entities. WE CAN HELP!
Despite the numerous barriers imposed by the state, Germany has a rich and longstanding tradition of shooting sports. There is a saying that while the USA has gun owners, Germany has shooters. This reflects the requirement in Germany that firearm owners must actively participate at recognized shooting ranges to maintain their firearms licenses.

Our hunt was excellent.
We saw bucks every day along with all other sorts of wildlife. Mountain goats, bears, and foxes were common sights. Fishing and crabbing was special bonus. The food was excellent, the crew was amazing. Outdoors International did a great job of finding exactly what we were looking for.
What an amazing experience!
The hunting lodge was out of this world!, Rooms, food and the scenery were all A+. Our guide was exceptional and had us on Shiras moose all five days. We saw over 30 total with at least 10 bulls. They had a plan for everything including taxidermy and game processing.
