Big Game Hunting in Missouri
Missouri is a state that is filled with some outstanding hunting opportunities. Best known for whitetail deer and wild turkey hunting, there is plenty of other hunting to be found including upland birds, and waterfowl.
Missouri is also the only State in the Midwest where hunters can rifle hunt during the peak of the rut.
No draw! Missouri tags are available over the counter. While not a famous as some of its neighboring states, Missouri deer hunting is still in the top ten states for trophy whitetails. In fact, Missouri ranks as the #5 State in the Nation according to the Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett Record Books. Missouri has over-the-counter tags and good archery and rifle deer hunting seasons, as well as a late muzzleloader hunt. You can hunt with a crossbow during the archery season.
If you’re after a big buck, and who isn’t – look at the northwestern part of the state. Shelby and Knox Counties are the Missouri’s best whitetail deer hunting areas. Northern Missouri is producing monstrous whitetail bucks due to an 8 point antler restriction rule implemented by the Missouri Department of Conservation in 2010. There are “undiscovered” farms in this state that are just about unhunted. Don’t overlook it!
Wild Turkey Hunting in Missouri
Missouri turkey hunting is getting better and better every year, with good numbers of Eastern wild turkeys. This great state has some great spring and fall turkey hunts.

Our hunt was excellent.
We saw bucks every day along with all other sorts of wildlife. Mountain goats, bears, and foxes were common sights. Fishing and crabbing was special bonus. The food was excellent, the crew was amazing. Outdoors International did a great job of finding exactly what we were looking for.

What an amazing experience!
The hunting lodge was out of this world!, Rooms, food and the scenery were all A+. Our guide was exceptional and had us on Shiras moose all five days. We saw over 30 total with at least 10 bulls. They had a plan for everything including taxidermy and game processing.
