Sharpe's Grysbok Hunts
Sharpe's Grysbok, also known as Raphicerus sharpei, is a small antelope species found in Southern Africa.
Physical Characteristics
Sharpe's Grysbok is a small antelope species that stands at approximately 45-50 cm at the shoulder and weighs between 5-10 kg. They have reddish-brown fur with white underparts and a distinctive black stripe that runs from their nose to the base of their horns. Their horns are short and straight, measuring up to 8 cm in length.
Habitat
Sharpe's Grysbok is primarily found in woodland areas and savannas of Southern Africa, including South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Mozambique. They prefer areas with dense vegetation and are particularly adapted to living in rocky outcrops and boulder-strewn hillsides.
Diet
The Sharpe's Grysbok is primarily herbivorous, feeding on leaves, shoots, and fruits. They have a specialized digestive system that allows them to extract as much nutrition as possible from the plants they consume.
Behavior
Sharpe's Grysbok is a solitary species, and they are active primarily at dawn and dusk. They are known for their excellent sense of hearing and sense of smell, which helps them avoid predators. They are also incredibly agile and can jump over obstacles up to 1.5 meters high.
Conservation Status
They are listed as a species of least concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). However, their population is declining in some areas due to habitat loss and fragmentation, poaching, and hunting. As such, it is important to monitor their population and conserve their habitat to ensure their survival.
I didn't think an experience like this was possible.
This trip, was, for me at least not just a trip, for me it was a real adventure, a real experience. I love the wilderness and this trip afforded me the opportunity to connect with the Alaskan wilderness in ways very few people do. It was an experience I will never forgot in a place I can’t wait to get back to.

The outfitter handled everything perfectly.
We were thankful that Outdoors International hooked us up with a great outfitter because they were able to find us an acceptable alternate on short notice. Overall the two year process to get this float in was seamless and worry free. Just like it should be.
Thank you,

What an amazing experience!
The lodge was out of this world! Our rooms, the delicious food, the incredible wildlife and the scenery were amazing. Our photo safari guide was truly exceptional and had us on animals almost constantly. We saw over 30 different species and had some incredible up close experiences. Africa is amazing!
