Hunting in Kazakhstan

Nestled in a pristine expanse spanning 122,000 hectares, our pristine hunting concession is a haven for abundant wild game. Majestic Maral Stags, magnificent Mid-Asian Ibex, graceful Siberian Roe Deer, and formidable Eurasian Wild Boar grace the lands, offering an extraordinary hunting experience.

Our flagship offering is the thrilling combo hunt of Maral and Ibex, as these trophies hold a special place in the hearts of our hunters. Hunting from horseback, we hunt the vast hunting grounds in search of the finest trophies. While your trophy Maral stag can often be harvested with ease, merely a short walk or drive from the lodge, Ibex hunting is typically more difficult.

Maral Stag Hunting Kazakhstan

Maral is the local name for either of the two subspecies of elk – the Altai Wapiti (Cervus canadensis sibiricus) and the Tian Shan Wapiti (C. c. songaricus) – that inhabit the mountain ranges and boreal forests of Asia. The Tian Shan Wapiti of Kazakhstan is the largest of the Asian wapitis and a magnificent trophy. The antlers are massive and similar in form to those of North American elk.

Rut hunts for the Maral stag run from September 15 to October 10. It is the most exciting and the most successful time to hunt. September and October are best for combination hunts on Maral, Mid-Asian Ibex and Siberian Roe deer.

Mid-Asian Ibex Hunting in Kazakhstan

The Ibex population of Kazakhstan is a healthy one with great genetics. The expected trophy size is about 45 inches, and even a category of 45-52 inches can be realistic. A Mid-Asian Ibex hunt is a classic mountain hunt where you will be spending a lot of time glassing for the right billy. Horses are great help and will get you and your guide up into the best game country.

During the day you will explore the upper edges of the mountains, glassing the hillsides, feeding and resting areas through the binoculars. Normally you see numerous Ibex during the day. Once a good trophy is found, it’s a stalk on foot. You need to be prepared for long shooting as 400+ yard shots are possible.

The year 2023 marks the inaugural commercial hunting season in this splendid region.
