When you go hunting in British Columbia, there are four big game species that should be on your radar are Western Canada moose, mountain goat, stone sheep and black bear. Other species in BC include: Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep; whitetail deer; bison; mountain lion; mountain caribou; California bighorn sheep; Dall sheep; Shiras moose; mule deer; Roosevelt elk; blacktail deer; and Alaska-Yukon moose.

All non-resident hunters wishing to hunt big game in the Province of British Columbia are required to be accompanied by a licensed guide outfitter, an assistant guide outfitter hired by a guide outfitter or a resident who holds a Permit to Accompany.
