Edmonton Bow Zone Whitetail Hunt
This is a bowhunting only camp guided by hardcore bowhunters!
There’s the chance for a real stomper buck on this hunt.
This hunt is not for the faint of heart. It is extremely mental in that the weather can be rough, and you are waiting for that one good opportunity at a trophy whitetail. There are some serious monster whitetails in the Edmonton bow zone, but they are not an easy animal to kill. Perseverance and good gear is critical. You can expect multiple stalks, increasing your chances of a successful hunt. The potential trophy quality can be very high and you’ll be hunting bucks of tremendous body size.
The Edmonton Bow Zone
Our outfitter is offering a very limited amount of Alberta archery whitetail deer hunts in the famous Edmonton bow zone. The Edmonton bow zone has been in existence since 1972, and encompasses 1400 sq. miles around the city of Edmonton. Alberta has long been known as producing huge whitetail bucks, and it continues to do so.
The bow zone is 70% agriculture and 30% woodlots. You will be either spot-and-stalk hunting or you’ll hunt from tree stands placed strategically on funnels, near bedding areas, and near the food crops. You have the option of hunting all day, or hunting morning and evening stands.
- These hunts are during the pre-rut/rut in November, thus the temperatures can be extreme, so good gear is a must.
- Hunters over the past 10 years have gone 35% on kills, with 100% opportunity at a P&Y buck.
- Our hunters have harvested deer as small as 118 P&Y and as big as 203 P&Y.
