If you’re a bowhunter, you’ll love our Colorado archery elk hunting outfitter. This is an incredibly fun hunt as the elk are numerous, active and in the rut. The action can be non-stop, and on a typical year, you’ll be in elk every day. Excellent opportunities also exist for the muzzleloading hunter as the elk are in the rut and receptive to calls.
These hunts take place in limited license areas that you can draw for, which hold more game and some bigger bulls. But if you don’t draw, we have some great open units. This means you can buy your license over the counter. These units usually have more hunting pressure, but there are more areas to hunt and still a large number of elk.
Our backcountry archery elk hunts in Colorado are high success at a reasonable price!
They don’t guarantee 6-point bulls like some of the private land hunts can. Expect to hunt hard for “real elk,” but if you’re a serious hunter then you will appreciate this hunt. This can also be a combo hunt for mule deer.

It was a great hunt. Other than the lodging. I know the lodging wasn’t their fault as they lost their lease and had to scramble to get accommodations ready for the hunt.
