HUNT: Alaska Moose, Grizzly Combo Hunt

On my 10 day Alaska moose combo hunt I chose to use a bow and arrow, which made the hunt more challenging. I wasn’t able to pull off a moose, but did manage to get a 7ft grizzly bear at 32 yds.
We saw a ton of moose and made several attempts to get one. Just always came up short. That’s hunting though. The guides and outfitter were very accommodating and offered longer time for me to get a moose, but had to leave for work reasons.

How would you rate your Outdoors International Consultant?
Julian was very knowledgeable and great. He handled all my questions and concerns. He knew right away when I mentioned that I was a bowhunter, who to send me to. Most of the other outfitters I talked to recommend not taking a bow. I’m an avid bowhunter, and that was my goal. No matter of the outcome. Yea, so I didn’t get a moose, but how often do you get a Grizzly with a Bow, so yes it was a successful hunt for me.

What an amazing experience!
The lodge was out of this world! Our rooms, the delicious food, the incredible wildlife and the scenery were amazing.
