African Lion & Hippo Dangerous Game Hunt

This PH is the consummate Professional Hunter in Africa. His base is in Limpopo, South Africa on a 4,000 acer reserve. Pick up and return to Joburg airport included. From the moment you enter the reserve, you start to see exotic game animals. You drive up to a world-class lodge to be met by professional Chef, Goodie with snacks, drinks in preparation for a tremendous game dinner.

Accommodations are tremendous in the big game lodge with trophies all over the walls, and huge bedrooms with tons of hot water. Fans no AC, but you don’t need it because of the elevation. Breakfast every morning at 5:30am, then you drive off to hunt at 6:00am. Times could be modified to meet clients desire.

Come back to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon nap, followed by afternoon/evening hunt, and finally back for drinks, appetizers and dinner. Spending  personal time with the PH and his guides every evening.

Our first hunt with this PH was a Nile crocodile hunt in October, 2022. It was also booked thru Outdoors International. I got a nice one on the last day, but in between, we were successful on plains game, including a trophy Sable, Black Impala, King Wildebeest and a Golden Wildebeest. Shots were 60 to 150 yards and plenty of time to select the right trophy.

Prices are very reasonable considering the all-inclusive experience and packages available. Having had such a great hunt in 2022, we returned to hunt with him again for this hunt in Nov 2025. This time we hunted lion and a hippo. He takes dangerous game hunting to a new level! You have the comfort of facing off with one, perhaps two PH’s by your side. The lion was the experience of a lifetime, and ditto for the hippo.

We got my African lion on the first day and the hippo on the third day. I won’t go into the details of each hunt, but I assure you it as adrenaline pumping and very real. You are the shooter, but you do have back up.

I just can’t say enough about this PH and his staff, except comment “World Class!!!” If you have never hunted in Africa, book here and I’ll bet you’ll come back again just like I did.
