The Caleufu River in Patagonia-Argentina
The Caleufu is possibly one of the most beautiful rivers in northern Patagonia. The Caleufu is the only river in the region that holds more brown trout than rainbows. Browns over 20 inches are frequently caught.
From the beginning of the season thru early January the river is floatable and offers great quality fishing. By early January the flow reaches a level where the river is no longer floatable. However, in late January/ early February the river begins experiencing the same minnow migration as the Collon Cura River.
Wade fishing is available on the last half dozen riffle's prior to the outlet at the reservoir.
