SEWARD PENINSULA, ALASKA CARIBOU HUNTING
Your guided Alaska caribou hunting trip starts with a 40-minute flight from Nome to a remote base camp. After that, you and your guide will use Argos to explore different spike camps across the Seward Peninsula, just below the Arctic Circle. These camps help improve your chances of a successful hunt.
The outfitter provides 8-wheel Argos for hunting, which come with enclosed cabs to protect you from wind and rain. When you’re ready for the final approach, you might need to trek as far as a mile or as close as 100 yards through the tundra.
For an extra fee, you can also add grizzly bear hunting to your trip.

To begin with, the day starts early as you rise at dawn and start glassing from camp. Enjoy a hot breakfast before hiking to a higher vantage point, where you’ll spend the day glassing until you spot a promising target to go after. Once you’re successful, tag your bull and take field photos, your guide will cape, quarter and butcher the meat for packing to spot suitable for aircraft pick-up.
