Red Sheep are a naturally occurring hybrid from the Alborz Mountains in South Central Asia. They are a cross between an Armenian Mouflon and a Trans Caspian Urial.
The majority of “red sheep” found in Texas are a cross between Armenian and Transcaspian urial.
