Bristol Bay is sometimes called the “Salmon Factory of the World”
Bristol Bay in Alaska offers five species of Salmon: King, Sockeye, Chum, Pink and Silver Salmon along with 7 species of fresh water fish: Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Arctic Grayling, Dolly Varden, Lake Trout and Northern Pike.
In my opinion the best way to experience all that Alaska has to offer is to go with one of the premier fly out lodges. The variety of fishing and what you will experience here in a week is unrivaled. You will be planning your return as soon as your schedule allows. I guarantee it!
I personally don’t think there is a bad time to visit Alaska for fishing during the summer season especially if you choose a good fishing lodge/outfitter. The time you go is dependent on what type of fishing experience you’re looking for and what species you’re most after.
Bristol Bay Lodge delivers an epic trip that specializes in delicious food, great staff, outrageous fishing and lasting friendships. They’re all welded firmly together with a jaw-dropping terrain and scenery that will make you want to come back every season for years to come.
