Guided Grizzly Bear Hunt out of Kotzebue, Alaska

This was an excellent hunting experience. The salmon run was a record low this year, so the grizzly bear hunting was a bit tougher than normal. The bears were scattered rather than concentrated on the river. It made what was normally a moderate physical hunt into a little more difficult. However, at 70 years old I managed fine and my guide was superb and very thoughtful to make sure I was doing okay. I managed to take a record book grizzly on the second day of the hunt. I was very impressed with the outfitter and his entire organization.
