TRIP TAKEN: Wyoming Elk Hunt

September 27 through October 2, 2023
Great elk hunt. We were horseback based in a Forest Service and wilderness area of Wyoming. It was a new area so I spent time working with the guides to learn the area (which has a lot of potential.) Camp was already set up and in good condition, with running water, an outhouse and shower access. Meals were provided by a camp cook and very good. Both guides that I worked with (Zeke and Heath) were knowledgeable and hard-working. The terrain and altitude required a decent amount of physical activity and exertion, but it was very doable and there were plenty of elk in the area.
