If you like throwing big flies at aggressive fish, this fishing trip in Argentina is as good as it gets. Three of the four days we fished in excess of 10 hours with action from the beginning of the day until the end. They pack a nice lunch for the days on the River – the food is all delicious and plentiful.

One of the days we decided on a half day of fishing and had lunch at the Mothership, which was an incredible full-service spread that you would find in a high-end restaurant.

Our best day on the water, we boated nearly 50+ Golden dorado from 3 to 15 pounds, and had equally as many eats that we did not connect on. Our average days we boated 25-30 fish, missing as many as we caught. The action is unbelievable and with more than just the dorado in the water, you never know what will attack your fly when it lands on the surface. We spent a half day fishing a small braid of the river with poppers for dorado and wolf fish.

This was as fun as it gets – the fish were more than willing to eat giant topwater flies. With exotic birds flying around and watching schools of bait fish get pushed around by all the predators, every moment of the day was filled with something exciting.

• The rooms were nice and were cleaned and made daily with comfy beds and air conditioning that made it easy to rest after a long day on the water.
• The balcony on the stern of the boat was a great place to sit back and reflect on an amazing day of fishing and enjoy the sunset with a cocktail in hand.
• The dining room is where you begin the day with a full breakfast of eggs, bacon, fruit, pancakes and coffee, to fuel you up for a long day on the skiffs.
• You end your day there as well with an incredible dinner that is comparable to a five-star restaurant.

Always willing to greet you with a smile and a cocktail or whatever else you might need to make your stay more comfortable. The guides were top-notch, and knew how to handle the boats and navigate the river to get us on fish consistently. They were passionate and as enthusiastic as we were when we hooked up on fish. Their knowledge of the local water was what you would expect from any guide any where.

Combine the fishing with world class lodging, top notch experienced guides and a remote location and you have a must do angling adventure!
