At Outdoors International, we understand the excitement and preparation that goes into planning a successful hunt. Our goal is to equip you with all the necessary information and gear, ensuring your hunting experience in Argentina exceeds your expectations. Let’s dive right into the essentials you need to bring to make your hunting trip a memorable one.
Essential Gear for Hunting in Argentina
Valid Passport
You will need a valid passport to enter Argentina and the expiration date should be at least six months after your arrival date.
Visa
We recommend tourists holding passports from countries other than the European Union or continental North, Central & South America to check the list of countries that require a visa to enter Argentina.
COVID Travel Requirements
Argentina does not have any Covid related requirements nor restrictions for tourist entering and traveling in the country.
Health and Travel Insurance
We can suggest Global Rescue or Travel Guard through our partnership program.
Clothing
Most of our Argentina outfitters have daily laundry service at the lodge so you do not need to pack more than what is needed for three / four days. Laundry will be ready the following day to when it is placed in the laundry bin.
Wingshooting Gear
If wing shooting is part of your trip, we recommend the following equipment:
- Shoulder Pads
- Shooting Vest or Shell Pouch
- Hearing Protection
- Shooting Glasses
- Shooting Gloves
Big Game Hunting Gear
If big game hunting is part of your trip, we recommend that you bring camouflage or khaki hunting clothing with soft fabrics that have a reduced noise level while walking / stalking in the field. In addition, the following equipment is necessary:
- Good, Broken-in, Hard Soled Hunting Boots
- Small Backpack
- Reusable Hydration Pack/Bottle
- Binoculars
- Light Rain Gear
- Bullet Belt or Shell Holder
- Flashlight or Headlamp
Converters and Adaptors
Electricity at the lodge is 220V, so please check the electronics you will be traveling with. If you have any electronic equipment that can only work with 110V please bring a 220V to 110V converter for it. Although most electronics will work with either 220V or 110V, the plugs will vary from one country to the other. For this reason, we also highly recommend you purchase a travel plug adaptor kit which will allow you to plug your electronic devices at the lodge.
Medicine and Pharmacy
Please be sure to bring with you all medicinal and pharmaceutical items you may require during the entire duration of the trip.
Firearms and Ammunition
Having the right firearm and ammunition is crucial for a successful hunting trip, especially if you are hunting water buffalo. When traveling to Argentina, you must adhere to the local laws and regulations regarding firearms. We recommend contacting your outfitter directly to ensure compliance.
