HUNT: Alaska Moose Hunt

Our outfitter did an excellent job with our moose hunt. They provided everything listed with quality gear to boot. I would suggest to future hunters, ask a lot of questions and make sure you know what you are getting into. A DIY moose hunt is very physically demanding. I am 50 years old and of good health, it was the most physically demanding hunt I have ever been on. Make sure you have a form of communication that will work before you get there. I.E. satellite phone, or Garmin unit. Make sure you have quality rain gear, waders and a good bone saw. Be physically prepared to pack moose quarters (bone in) out of a knee deep swamp.
