TRIP TAKEN: Frank Church Wilderness Mule Deer Hunting

After getting a heavy snowfall we glassed the next morning and saw several good mule deer bucks, one of which was extremely good, we put on a long stalk around the lower side of the mountain to position ourselves in a good spot where I could get a steady rest, we waited a short period for the buck to stand up out of his bed and I was able to take a shot and down the buck at 500 yards ! He is a massive main frame 4×4 with big front forks and kickers off his bases , this Idaho backcountry hunt was truly a hunt of a lifetime!!

We saw bucks every day along with all other sorts of wildlife. Mountain goats, bears, and foxes were common sights. Fishing and crabbing was special bonus. The food was excellent, the crew was amazing. Outdoors International did a great job of finding exactly what we were looking for.

What an amazing experience!
The hunting lodge was out of this world!, Rooms, food and the scenery were all A+. Our guide was exceptional and had us on Shiras moose all five days. We saw over 30 total with at least 10 bulls. They had a plan for everything including taxidermy and game processing.
