Wyoming Mountain Lion Hunting Trips
Wyoming mountain lion hunting is very good, in fact, these are some of our favorite hunts to book! Outfitter can hunt the entire state of Wyoming, so where you hunt depends on the snow conditions. Because of this, we schedule our mountain lion hunts between November and February to increase your chances for having good tracking conditions for the hounds. This greatly increases your odds for success.
Due to superb genetics, with lots of elk and deer to prey on, Wyoming grows some BIG toms, and B&C mountain lions are taken regularly. On a typical hunt, you’ll run mountain roads in pickups or on snowmobiles looking for tracks. You’re welcome to come along, or you can stay warm in the truck. Once a good track is cut, get ready to hunt! The terrain can be very slick and very steep so being in the best physical shape you can be in is definitely recommended.
- Wyoming has a solid population of mountain lions and over-the-counter tags.
- Wyoming mountain lion hunting seasons from late November to the end of March.
- Rifles, handguns, archery equipment including crossbows may be used.
- Good snow on most years which makes for high success rates on trophy toms.
- Wyoming has lots of public land with good hunting, but our Outdoors International outfitters have access to thousands of private land as well.

My Wyoming mountain lion hunt was absolutely top notch. The outfitter is a fantastic man and incredibly hard working and knowledgeable, there is no doubt he will do everything within his power to make peoples hunts successful and enjoyable. I plan to do it again with him next year for sure.
