Wyoming Elk Hunt Report
The camp is the BEST field hunting camp I have ever seen. The staff is awesome and very accommodating. Going backcountry elk hunting required horses so if you are not a strong rider, get there because riding a horse is a must. Know how to ride a horse and be comfortable with it.
You have to be in shape when you go elk hunting, because altitude plays a factor and you will be up and down hills – A LOT. The weather was unseasonably warm so the elk were not coming in, or calling but the opportunities would be there if conditions were in our favor.
- Overall, my trip was good.
- My outfitter’s communication before, during and after the trip was good.
- My guide was good.
- Physically, the trip was difficult.
- The food and accommodations were amazing.
