Axis Deer Hunts Texas
For axis deer hunts Texas is one of our favorite destinations.
We have multiple exotic hunting ranches in the Texas Hill Country that offer free range and high fence axis hunting. We have hunts where we spot and stalk the animals or we can also sit on stands over food plots and travel routes. When you show up, expect to see recent trail cam photos of patterned bucks that have been hitting the feeders. We hunt the hills, and river bottoms in some rugged country. This hunt can be as demanding as you would like to work or easier for the people that simply cannot hike the mountain tops. This is a fun hunt will work for everyone.
Trophy Buck Hunt
How does it sound to have your choice of a free ranging trophy whitetail, axis deer, sika deer, fallow deer, or aoudad?!…when you’re hunting in Texas, you never know what’s going to walk by your stand. That can be frustrating to say the least, so the flexibility of this hunt is awesome. Plus, the outfitter will throw in a hog for free.

One of the best hunts I’ve been on! Lots of game and great guys to go hunting with! They know where to put you on the animals! A ‘No worries’ hunt from shot, to caping out your game, to cutting and packaging your meat. Couldn’t have asked for better!!
My trip to Hawaii was great! My guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife in it. During the hunt we encountered mouflon sheep, hogs, wild turkey and also some Vancouver bulls! After the hunt we walked back to the truck and Kalima took the time to drive around and show me the awesome scenery! This was my first hunt in Hawaii and also for Black Hawaiian ram! Was a great experience and I can’t wait to come back!
I had the opportunity to hunt Texas with my good friend Russ Meyer from Outdoors International. He is all that and a sack of chips when it comes to hunting and he is an authoritative Grand Poobah on anything archery hunting. Russ is just flat cool to hang with also. It was an amazing trip fueled by laughter and the making of a new friend Darryl Worley along the way. It is funny what conversations can start with what camo pattern you wear on a plane. Let me tell you Daryl Worley is a man strong in his convictions as a Christian, Country Legend, Father and Hunter. He is also just a flat awesome guy to chat with.
We had a great exotics hunt. I missed a huge buck on the first day, I shot over him. The second morning, we put an epic stalk on a solid buck and took him down. The ranch has a ton of exotic game on it, and we had fun doing some fox hunting, shed hunting, and hog hunting with the remaining time. I told the young guides that I wanted to do some “Country Stuff.” That made them laugh, and we had a great time. I am going to bring some of my employees and customers back for axis deer.
Casey called me about a month ago and asked if I wanted to hunt rattlesnakes in Texas, and I said no. I said no because I am terrified of snakes…. they are vile creatures and I don’t understand why anyone would go out of their way to get near them. Well, he kept sweetening the deal and when he threw in hogs and javelina I had to give in, and I’m glad I did.
Hunting in Hawaii is always a hunt that I look forward to every year. Something about the atmosphere on top of some intense hunting action keeps me going back. I had the pleasure of hunting with Koa Manaba as my guide this last trip and through his help, was successful in taking my biggest Axis buck to date. Koa gets it done and i look forward to another day on the hill with him next year.
My axis deer hunt in Hawaii was awesome! It’s definitely something that can be done on a family vacation if you have a couple extra days. We hunted in the morning, and evenings there was time mid day to go get lunch, hit the pool, or even the beach. The guides were great. They made the rest of the stay better with local knowledge of things to do.
You hear that you’re going to see lots of deer, but it’s hard to comprehend how many there are. It’s safe to say that we probably saw 1,000 deer a day! They guides definitely help judge bucks and teach what to look for. One of the best deer hunts I’ve ever been on.
The ranch that I hunted on had a lot of game on it. The quality of the animals (aoudad) was very good, I would highly recommend this ranch and outfitter to anyone.
My outfitter did everything he said he would do on my aoudad hunt. He got me within a 50 yards with my bow on a free range trophy aoudad (no fence, no feeder, no blinds). We also had multiple opportunities if I had been a rifle hunter (150-470 yards ). Very comfortable lodge, hot shower and good food. Excellent cable TV.
