Kasilof River

Located only 15 miles from the famous Kenai River, the Kasilof River is somewhat of an afterthought. If it were located anywhere else, it would be known as a fantastic King salmon fishery.
Species

The Kasilof River has two distinct runs of king salmon, in addition to a healthy sockeye run, and a exceptional run of silver salmon. It also supports resident rainbow trout and dolly varden. Something it has over on the Kenai is a substantial return of steelhead in the spring and fall.

What an amazing experience!
