Kansas Turkey Hunts

With good populations of unpressured Eastern and Rio Grande gobblers and beautiful landscape, Kansas turkey hunting one of the most exciting hunts out there. Wild turkey populations have exploded in recent years, and Kansas is one of the best turkey hunting states in the country right now. Over-the-counter tags and a two bird limit offer additional appeal, with a long spring season running from mid April through the end of May.

The western two-thirds of the state have Rio Grande turkeys. Hybrid Rio Grande/Eastern birds are found in the north-central region, and there are good numbers of Eastern turkeys are common in the northeastern and southeast regions.
