Your Guides

This outfitter has some of the best guides in the business. They will know exactly how to get you into fish based on your skill set and experience. Each of them grew up fishing the flats of South Andros Island and know it like the back of their hands. They know the tides, the fish, the mangrove backwaters, and exactly where to go and how to get you shots when conditions change. You will be in good hands.

Bonefishing is an awesome melding of hunting and fishing, so you need to stay alert for fish coming in. If it is possible, you should try to spot the fish before you cast, and don’t forget to lead it because bonefish can be pretty spooky if you ‘line’ them or plop a fly right on their heads. Learning to spot fish, even with your guide’s assistance, will help your success rate tremendously. Your guide will probably use the ‘clock’ system to guide your casting to the fish – i.e. “There’s a fish at 1 o’clock, thirty feet out”, cast there… quickly!

Greg Pope with a Strobel Lake rainbow trout.

I expected big trout on this trip based on all the stories I've read over the years, and I was not disappointed! I broke my own personal best rainbow trout record at least SIX times on this trip, with the biggest being a 16 pound beauty.

I will be going again soon!
