Why you should consider South Africa safari hunts:
Limpopo Hunting Safaris
Plains game, and dangerous game Limpopo hunting safaris from 5-star lodges.
The hunting is off the hook! You’ll see LOTS of game, the staff is incredibly accommodating, the PH’s are fun, friendly, and professional, and you’ll eat spectacular food and the lodging is 5-star. There’s not a bad thing we could say about our South Africa safari hunts. Whether you go hunting solo, with your family, or with a large group, we can customize your safari to your needs.
We can Customize Your Safari.
Since the hunting area is huge, the species you are hunting will dictate which part of the ranch you will be hunting. The PH is knowledgeable, and will be totally focused on your hunting goals. The hunting will be by spot-and-stalk, or from blinds. After breakfast, you will jump in the back of the hunting rig and either drive roads looking for game, or sit in a hide… don’t worry, you will see a lot of game. There is no shooting from the truck. Once an animal is spotted, you will start your stalk. Animals that seem relaxed while you are in the truck become VERY wild once your feet hit the ground.
Are you and Archer? These are Bowhunter Friendly Hunting Safaris.

You could be stalking game from dawn to dusk if you wished. A truly amazing place to hone your bowhunting skills. We’ve had a number of hunters hunt archery cape buffalo with this PH.
The Service and Lodging in South Africa is Incredible!
The lodge consists of 6 en-suite rooms, decorated in a modern afro-ethnic style. Elegant, yet understated and always in pristine condition with natural stone, wood and thatch. The lodge also boasts a swimming pool, fully stocked bar, an outside dining area, and a lapa area with fire pit and bbq.
The food is South African ‘Boere’ (local) with a touch of European. Expect lots of meat, vegetables, and fruit, all complimented by a variety of South African wines. You will eat a hearty breakfast, usually come back to the lodge for lunch, and then a nice dinner at night. Prior to dinner, you will lounge around the fire pit or in the bar talking about the days hunt and tomorrows plans. You will feel at ease with the staff, who treats you, not as a client but, as a friend.

Elephant Hunting in South Africa
South Africa elephants ARE exportable to the United States and Europe.
Elephant hunting in South Africa takes place in the KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces.
Elephant tags in South Africa are strictly controlled by CITES. Contrary to the opinion of some, the elephant is not endangered and in fact several countries of Southern Africa have been forced to institute culling operations to keep their numbers in balance. Elephant hunts are also available near Kruger Park, but they are controlled by National Park Regulations. On these hunts, you will be hunting on the private ground surrounding the park, but they are the same free ranging elephants that reside within the park.
In most of this area, you can only take bulls that weigh 35 pounds or less. However, if you would like to hunt a trophy elephant near Kruger, there are two isolated areas for bulls up to 75 pounds maximum, but there is a very small quota available and a very high demand. If you would like to hunt trophy elephant near Kruger National Park, you must book years in advance.
Elephant hunting in KwaZulu-Natal
Most of the hunts in KwaZulu-Natal are conducted in large, private nature preserves which, in most cases, border National Parks. These hunts are often management hunts, but occasionally there are trophy bulls available with limits on the weight of the tusks.
- Dangerous game hunts take place between April and October.
- Stay in a luxury hunting lodge.
- Track bulls on foot or spot-and-stalk.
- Hunts are guided 1:1, plus trackers.
- 95% success rate.
- Bulls from 35-75 pounds.
- Add plains game and cape buffalo.
- All CITES animals do require proof of residence and a copy of your passport a minimum of 60 days prior to your hunt. This will give your outfitter time to obtain the proper permits.
- Elephant hunting in South Africa is subject to availability.
Hippo and Crocodile Hunting in South Africa
Hippo and Crocodile hunting is dangerous game hunting at its finest!
Hippo Hunting in South Africa
Hippo hunting is not particularly difficult, but can be a fun add-on to South Africa safari hunts, or as bait for a crocodile hunt.
Typically you will hunt the hippo first, as hippo makes very good bait for big crocs. The outfitter pre-scouts to find the trophy bulls and where they are spending their time, then they will set up a hide on that location for your hunt. Sometimes, you will hunt spot-and-stalk style, but a hippo hunt is normally from a hide.
Crocodile Hunting in South Africa
This is your chance to hunt an actual prehistoric animal, when it comes to giant crocodile, and even more they are the only dangerous game animal that sees you as food. You might sit for one hour or you might sit for six days waiting for the target crocodile to give you an opportunity. Patience is key, but when that trophy croc shows up it is time to get your game face on. This hunt requires precision marksmanship, so make sure you are getting plenty of range time in as you need to hit a spot the size of an orange.
- 10 day safari
- Guided 1:1, plus trackers
- Hunt big mature bull hippos, and 13ft crocodiles on average
- 100% shot opportunity
The PH definitely exceeded any expectations we had for our 1st safari, they were with us every step of the way from picking us up at the airport until it was time to drop us off. Me and the boys could not believe how many animals there were and really enjoyed the diversity of game. Heidi had a great time with her guide Ansa, she was very helpful and they did many exciting things throughout the week. they really worked hard to make sure we were having a good time.
It’s not just the doing of a thing, but how one does a thing that at the dusk of memory takes one back to the sharp moment of action and then a whiskey and a fire shared with a trusted PH … that is the true and the beautiful essence of “Safari,” at least for me.
I trust Outdoors International’s opinion and will definitely book another hunt with Outdoors International. This was an amazing safari!
We saw tons of animals, but the kudu was by far the hardest animal to hunt. I killed a brute at 54 1/2 inches, and only ran about 70 meters before crashing. The bonfire at night was relaxing, and the weather there for mid June was perfect! Not too cold and not too warm. The food was exceptional, and what we truly enjoyed is the fact that we could just be ourselves. This was an amazing safari, and I can’t wait to get the shoulder mounts and skulls back!
I can not say enough about the safari I booked, and am planing another trip with Outdoors Internationalas we speak to take more Traditional Hunters to Africa.
I’d encourage you if you’re on the fence to take that leap of faith and go, you’ll fall in love with Africa. Say yes to adventure. It will be over sooner than you know. Store your memories deep. Video and photos can hardly do justice for the experience as you live it. Until we meet again Africa, you’ll be close to my heart.
I must say that I am very satisfied with the hunt. It was a tough hunt. We got the leopard the next last night.
I was one of the super lucky guys to win this hunting safari and it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever done. I took a 54” kudu bull, 26” wildebeest (wild hunt!), an old warrior warthog, a beautiful zebra mare (she was so big we thought she was a stallion) and 3 impalas with 2 being over 23 inches! I am so grateful for this opportunity they provided. Thank you to Outdoors International, and all the PHs and staff. I made some new friends and will be back to see them 100%.
Hey Cory. Things are great here in Africa! Everyone is having a wonderful time and the girls have been kept busy. My daughter is even learning to drive a standard safari wagon. Believe me, it’s been great! Hunting is out of this world. Staff is treating us like kings. Couldn’t ask for more. I would recommend Outdoors International. Thank you.
