I was born and raised in the great state of South Dakota where family and a hunting lifestyle were major priorities. By high school I was bitten by the bow hunting bug and it has become my life’s passion. I worked for years guiding big game and turkey hunts, both as a guide and outfitter. I have over 30 years of hunting experience throughout North America, hunting for upland game, waterfowl, turkey, and big game with significant bow hunting experience. Although I shotgun, rifle and muzzleloader hunt, bow hunting big game is my where I spend most of my time. I have hunted in over twenty states, including numerous DIY Alaskan adventures, as well as Mexico, Greenland and five Canadian provinces. In 2016 I moved to Palmer, Alaska to further my personal hunting goals.
I have taken over 100 big game animals with archery tackle, numerous Pope & Young animals and have 16 different archery species towards my Super Slam of North American Game. I spend over 30 days a year in the field in Alaska and specialize in mountain hunting for sheep and mountain goats. If Alaska or a quality mountain hunt is on your bucket list, I can help.
Whether it’s a DIY adventure, a drop camp, or a fully guided hunt with an outfitter, I have experienced and researched what it takes to be successful on each. I am familiar with the application process for tags in most western states and apply for myself in several states annually. I typically travel and hunt in at least 4-6 states per year in addition to my time in Alaska. I am familiar with the regulations and game laws in most states and proficient at researching and investigating both new hunting locations as well as guides and outfitters. Each year I volunteer substantial time working for various conservation and hunting organizations.
