Hands down the most accommodating fishing lodge we’ve ever been to. I love hunting and fishing, and search to find places that allow a family setting. They welcomed our rowdy kid crew with open arms and a resolve to show us a good time… we were not disappointed.
Salmon runs of Alaska, Canada, Europe, and even the Lower 48 are of such legendary proportions that it’s even been said they become so thick in the rivers that people can walk across their backs. Salmon fight hard, grow to large sizes and supply everything an angler wants in a fish.
Sure you can spend a bunch of money and get an ultra small diameter backing that will work just fine. But if you are like us it doesn’t make a ton of sense to spend a bunch on backing when you could be spending that on more gear.
In my opinion the best way to experience all that Alaska has to offer is to go with one of the premier fly out lodges. The variety of fishing and what you will experience here in a week is unrivaled. You will be planning your return as soon as your schedule allows. I guarantee it!
This was a great salmon fishing trip in Alaska. The peace and quiet was fantastic. The fly-in aspect really enhanced it. Great fishing, and floating down the river was wonderful. My wife doesn’t even fish that much and she thought this is one of the favorite family vacations we have done.
Three friends and I spent a great week floating the Salmon and Aniak Rivers in Alaska. Great guides, food, excellent fishing, and comfortable equipment.
Not only did I catch Kings, my guide Gary got me into plenty of cod, black bass and yellow eye rockfish.
