Adventure Travel Opportunities in Hungary

Adventure travel includes horseback riding in the Great Hungarian Plain, exploring Lake Balaton, or biking Budapest’s historic trails, to name a few.

Hungary has some Great Fishing

While not a big draw, the fishing in Hungary is very good in the Danube and Tisza Rivers for carp, catfish, and pike. With enough notice, we can help you find a good fishing trip.

Wingshooting in Hungary

Wingshooting targets driven pheasant, partridge, and ducks. Many of our big game hunters add-on a day of driven wingshooting.

Hunting in Hungary

Big game hunting in Hungary focuses on red stag, fallow deer, mouflon sheep, and wild boar in the Bakony and Mátra forests. Hungary's blend of high trophy quality, short travel times, and cultural perks (think thermal baths post-hunt) makes it a low-risk, high-reward hunting destination.

Bowhunting is legal in Hungary with a minimum of 50 pound draw weight. Muzzleloaders are allowed as well. *Crossbows are illegal for hunting in Hungary.

Hunting methods include spot-and-stalk, high seats, ground blinds, tree climbers (you'll need to bring your own safety harness), and driven hunts.

I didn't think an experience like this was possible.

This trip, was, for me at least not just a trip, for me it was a real adventure, a real experience. I love the wilderness and this trip afforded me the opportunity to connect with the Alaskan wilderness in ways very few people do. It was an experience I will never forgot in a place I can’t wait to get back to.

The outfitter handled everything perfectly.

We were thankful that Outdoors International hooked us up with a great outfitter because they were able to find us an acceptable alternate on short notice. Overall the two year process to get this float in was seamless and worry free. Just like it should be.

Thank you,

The lodge was out of this world! Our rooms, the delicious food, the incredible wildlife and the scenery were amazing. Our photo safari guide was truly exceptional and had us on animals almost constantly. We saw over 30 different species and had some incredible up close experiences. Africa is amazing!
