HUNTING

Driven Hunts

Driven hunts are a time honored European tradition.

A line of “beaters” push the game in front of them towards a line of waiting hunters. A well executed drive will flush out a wide variety of game. Driven wild boar hunts are, without a doubt the most popular, but there are also driven hunts for fallow deer, red deer, roe deer, fox, pheasant, partridge, snipe/woodcock, ducks, hare and others depending on what the individual outfitter can offer.

Driven hunts are perhaps the most intense hunting- and wildlife experience you can imagine, and we work with some great outfitters. So if you’re looking for a great driven hunt, get in touch. We think you’ll love working with us.

A driven hunt is the European tradition: a line of beaters and dogs works a block of
timber and pushes game past hunters standing at assigned posts. Boar in Hungary, red and
fallow deer in Spain and Ireland, roe deer through the same forests.
The shooting is nothing like a stalk. Animals come fast, often through cover, sometimes
several at once, and the discipline is knowing what you may and may not shoot in the second
you have to decide. Safety rules are strict and enforced — you shoot inside your assigned
arc, and only there.
It’s also intensely social in a way most hunting isn’t: large groups, formal traditions at
the end of the day, and a long dinner afterward. Hunters who’ve only hunted alone are usually
surprised by how much they like it.

We're looking forward to helping you book a great trip with an amazing outfitter.

I didn't think an experience like this was possible.

This trip, was, for me at least not just a trip, for me it was a real adventure, a real experience. I love the wilderness and this trip afforded me the opportunity to connect with the Alaskan wilderness in ways very few people do. It was an experience I will never forgot in a place I can’t wait to get back to.

The outfitter handled everything perfectly.

We were thankful that Outdoors International hooked us up with a great outfitter because they were able to find us an acceptable alternate on short notice. Overall the two year process to get this float in was seamless and worry free. Just like it should be.

Thank you,
Stan Masneri

What an amazing experience!

The lodge was out of this world! Our rooms, the delicious food, the incredible wildlife and the scenery were amazing. Our photo safari guide was truly exceptional and had us on animals almost constantly. We saw over 30 different species and had some incredible up close experiences. Africa is amazing!
