Lacey Savage

Growing up in the scenic beauty of North Idaho, my passion for fishing was nurtured from a young age. I’m blessed to have grown up outdoors on adventures with my family camping, rafting, riding dirt bikes and of course fishing. My dad would carry me across the rivers to the “good spots” as far back as I can remember. I’m so thankful he introduced me to the joys of fishing for trout alongside my older brother. With age it became more than a pastime; it was a way of life. Riding our bikes to the river was how we spent countless cherished afternoons. These experiences not only cemented my passion for fishing but also taught me the importance of connection.

My grandfather was another beloved mentor, taking me on his boat to catch pike and bass. Our Thursday morning escapades on Cave Lake remain some of my most treasured memories, lasting well into his 90s.

In my late teens, I was introduced to the exhilarating world of fly fishing for trout, which eventually led me to the quest of chasing the “fish of a thousand casts”—the steelhead. This passion has taken me across various waters and led me to where I am today, managing two distinguished Steelhead fishing lodges.

Before becoming a Fishing Sales Consultant at Outdoors International, I traveled to numerous lodges through the company, gaining first hand experience of some of the world’s best fishing destinations. I’ve had the thrill of chasing different species of fish across the U.S. and even journeyed to Chile to catch the elusive brown trout. In recent years, my love for ocean fishing has blossomed, from poling the flats for tailing permit in Belize and Cuba to reeling in magnificent sailfish in Mexico. Each adventure has enriched my knowledge and skills, allowing me to thrive in my role as a consultant and share my passion and expertise with fellow enthusiasts, guiding them in creating their own unforgettable fishing experiences.
