Species include bonefish, marlin, sailfish, mahi mahi, tuna, wahoo, the elusive permit, snook, tarpon, and more!
Any serious saltwater angler knows permit are the Holy Grail of the flats. These fish will test your skills, your wit and your will.
Ascension Bay is well known as one of the finest saltwater flats fishing destinations in the world. The guides are serious permit hunters, so while there are plenty bonefish, most anglers visit Ascension Bay to target permit.
Just 50 nautical miles south of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Puerto Vicente is hidden away from the crowds and traffic. This isn’t one of Mexico’s booming tourist destinations. Don’t expect strip malls or luxury spas. You’ll find pristine beaches, litter-free coastlines, friendly people and amazing fishing.
This section of the Costa Grande coastline is too far away for the big chartered fishing vessels from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo to travel to on a regular basis. And without the crowds, you’ll have a much more relaxed Mexico fishing vacation.

Bird Hunting in Mexico
Bird hunting in Mexico is like dialing back the glory days of wingshooting here in the States. If you grew up hunting birds, you’ll love these trips!
Every bird hunter knows about the spectacular dove shooting in Mexico…But in addition to the doves, Mexico has some amazing upland bird and waterfowl hunting. Traditional walk-up pheasant and quail hunts, and spectacular duck hunting for pintails, widgeons, mottled ducks, gadwalls, green-wing teal, blue-wing teal, cinnamon teal, black bellied tree ducks and bluebills.
Mexico rivals even Argentina, the heavyweight champ of dove shooting!
In the field, there will be two bird boys waiting with a chair and a cooler full of drinks. Your shotgun and shells will be handled by the van driver. Just like when you’re hunting in Argentina, this is a classy affair. After the hunt we set up a table, chairs and a nice umbrella. Ten sit back, relax with a cold drink, and talk hunting with your companions about that afternoon hunt. Sound good?
Northern Mexico offers some of the best wild quail hunting in the world.
If you’ve never hunted quail before, or you’re an avid bird hunter, you’re in for a treat. We offer premier, traditional walk-up quail hunting in Mexico over pointing dogs. We guarantee that you’ve never had a quail hunting experience like this before. One sportswriter called them, “the wildest, fastest quail he had ever seen.” These can be be combo hunts with ducks and doves as well if you wish. The best time to go quail hunting in Mexico is early November through late February.
