Predator, Texas Hog Hunt Combo
This is a great combination hunt for an inexpensive but really fun time.
Hog and predator hunting are both becoming more and more popular, and we have the best of both. We can set up a do it yourself hunt that includes lodging, or put together an all inclusive hunt with five star accommodations. Hog and predator hunting can be done year round, but as we hit the summer months we do the bulk of our hunting at night. We tend to sleep in the morning and hunt the evenings in to the early parts of the morning. We hog hunt with feeder lights, spotlights were possible and infrared. We know there are tons of hunts out there that are budget hunts or free DIY hunts, but what we do different is make sure that you are set way ahead of time with the blinds and feeders that draw the hogs.
Hog Hunting in Texas
Certain areas of Texas are crawling with pigs, which is a problem for most, but is a great thing for us. While we’re after hogs, we’ll be hunting over feeders, in right aways (sundero’s), over water, or in farm fields. The number of hogs you can take is limited only by opportunity and how well you shoot. They aren’t easy though, and sometimes go nocturnal on us (we can hunt at night), so even though there are loads of them, success isn’t guaranteed.
Texas is crawling with coyotes, foxes and bobcats. The thick brush is perfect habitat for both predators and prey, and there are plenty of both. When predator hunting, you can expect to do lots of calling with both mouth calls and electronic calls. These are some of the smartest animals we hunt and if you are up for a challenge, then this one’s for you. You are not limited to how many predators you can shoot, however, bobcats do have an added trophy fee.
When it comes to our predator hunting we know the importance of giving a place some rest before you hammer the dogs and cats. Predator calling to frequently tends to educate the critters and we want you to be successful on your trip. Recently, we have added thermal scopes to our bag of tricks which gives us the ability to hunt all night long.
Our Texas hog and predator hunts are typically three solid days, and include meals and lodging.
My outfitter did everything he said he would do on my aoudad hunt. He got me within a 50 yards with my bow on a free range trophy aoudad (no fence, no feeder, no blinds). We also had multiple opportunities if I had been a rifle hunter (150-470 yards ). Very comfortable lodge, hot shower and good food. Excellent cable TV.
The ranch that I hunted on had a lot of game on it. The quality of the animals (aoudad) was very good, I would highly recommend this ranch and outfitter to anyone.
