With access to one of the largest herds of elk in all of North America this Colorado elk hunting outfitter has it all. Your hunt will be conducted on a little over 10,000 acres of private land that they have available. Not only will you have a chance at a bull, but there will be multiple times throughout the hunt that you will be on animals.
What makes this elk hunt truly exciting is that there is no shortage of animals! It’s not like your typical general season public land hunt where all the animals end up disappearing. This outfitters herd is there and ready to go! The average bull harvested in this area is 5×5, however there are possibilities for larger bulls in the 300+ range.
You’ll be hunting one of the largest elk herds in North America!

- Herd is managed by the State of Colorado for large numbers. Hunters will not have to worry about getting an opportunity.
- Average of 5×5 bulls, some clients harvest smaller than 5×5 but some also harvest bulls that are 6×6. There is a possibility that a larger bull will be taken.
- This hunt is conducted on private land that spans an amazing 12,000 acres!
- If you’re an archery hunter, this is also an exciting hunt to run and gun for bugling bulls!

Lodging and Accomodations
Prepare yourself for some of the best lodging the industry as to offer. This lodge is 5 stars with some of the best accommodations a hunter could ever want! This lodge is the definition of luxury with 8,500 square feet and beautiful mountain views in all directions. Rooming arrangements vary from the master suite to guest cabins. This lodge has great service, and excellent food! Be prepared for a fine dining experience you wont soon forget!
This lodge provides an amazing fine dining experience. All food and drinks come with your stay. Their chefs will not disappoint as all the food prepared is of the highest quality. All cuisine in many cases is even prepared from ingredients that are regional. Along with you fine dining experience is the fully stocked bar not to mention the list of wine available. They are also more than willing to cater to any needs a person might have!
Hunting is done 1×1 or 2×1 with highly experienced guides that will do their absolute best when it comes to getting you your elk. Your guides will transport you in the field using many of the roads that the property offers. When you have harvested your elk the guide will field dress and prepare the animal for transport. These guides are well experienced and will make sure that you are well taken care of!
Typical Daily Schedule
What to expect….you will start each day with a light breakfast then you and your guide will head out for the morning hunt. The hunts are mostly spot and stalk but you may sit at the edge of a meadow and wait for the elk to come to you. The morning hunts are typically 3-4 hours. After the morning hunt you will return to the lodge where there will be snacks awaiting your arrival. The mid day is reserved for relaxation, fishing and sporting clays or you can watch football in the main floor of the lodge. The staff will prepare a large lunch and then you can again partake in additional mid day activities.
The evening hunts are also usually around 3-4 hours. These hunts can vary also from run and gun type hunts where you will try and get in close to the elk as they transition from bedding to feeding area or you may sit on water holes on the hot afternoons in the early season. The guides will make the decisions on the fly as to make sure that you have the best opportunities possible during your hunt. All hunts are conducted with use of 4×4 pickup or ATV for transport to hunting areas. Some hunters will walk right out of the lodge and start hunting in one of the many areas close to the lodge.
