Hunting Areas in Namibia

The Caprivi Strip, in the northeast of the country, is a popular destination for big game hunters. The region is home to some of the country’s most abundant wildlife populations, including elephants, lions, and hippos. The Kalahari Desert, in the south of the country, is another popular hunting destination, offering the chance to hunt desert-adapted species such as the oryx and springbok.

Namibia Offers Free Range, Fair Chase Hunting

Almost all of the hunting in Namibia is low fence, so if you’re keen on a free range plains game hunting alternative to South Africa, Namibia might be for you. The areas we hunt have plentiful, native plains game animals and leopards in big numbers and excellent trophy quality. These are not “put and take” hunts. All of the game animals are free ranging and born on the farm. The hunting is well managed and most of the animals are gold medal trophies.

Hunting Methods

The typical terrain has many mountains and big flat open areas between them. You can expect to take a few long shots when you are a rifle hunter, but we are also set up for bowhunters with blinds at water holes. For those that want to do same walking and stalking with the bow that will also be possible, but will definitely be a challenge.

Our hunt was excellent.

We saw bucks every day along with all other sorts of wildlife. Mountain goats, bears, and foxes were common sights. Fishing and crabbing was special bonus. The food was excellent, the crew was amazing. Outdoors International did a great job of finding exactly what we were looking for.

What an amazing experience!

The hunting lodge was out of this world!, Rooms, food and the scenery were all A+. Our guide was exceptional and had us on Shiras moose all five days. We saw over 30 total with at least 10 bulls. They had a plan for everything including taxidermy and game processing.
