DIY Black Bear Hunt Alaska
DIY Alaska black bear hunt out of Valdez, Alaska.
- Consistent trophy 6-7 foot boars
- Offering both Spring and Fall Hunts
- Coastal Spot and Stalk Hunting
Together with our Valdez, Alaska outfitter, we have put together a great unguided hunt for coastal black bear hunting in Prince William Sound. It includes a camp (you are responsible for camp set up and take down), zodiac with motor to move around in the hunt area, and transport to and from the hunt area. These hunts can are 7 days, 6 nights, but can be scheduled for however long you want to be in the field.
You’ll be hunting big salmon-fed bears just coming out of hibernation in an area that has one of the highest bear populations in Alaska and they typically square between 6-7 feet. Large boars with perfect hides are the norm. Cruising the coastal shorelines in the zodiac and glassing the tidal flats produce plenty of stalking opportunities.
If you’re looking for a cost effective, DIY, Moose hunt, get ahold of Outdoors International. I’ve never been more appreciative of a company and the knowledge they share to put together this hunt for my dad and I. Thanks for everything!
Coming from Iowa and having never hunted moose before, my dad and I weren’t exactly sure what to expect on a DIY moose hunt. Our worries of not seeing any moose vanished when we called in two 50” bulls 20 minutes after getting our camp set up!
Overall, it was a great adventure. Thanks for setting us up with this Outfitter!
It was truly a hunt of a lifetime and something I would suggest to anyone if able.
I plan on using them again in a couple of years when I take my caribou hunt!
